  • 2 C Uncooked macaroni (whole wheat)
  • 2 Tbsp Reduced-fat margarine
  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 C Skim milk
  • 1 C Evaporated skim milk
  • 1/2 C Reduced-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 C Part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Nonstick spray

InstructionsInstructions  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. Wash your hands with soap and hot water
3. Assemble these supplies: large and medium-sized saucepans, measuring spoons, liquid and dry measuring cups, whisk, mixing spoon, 1-quart casserole and a colander.
4. In the large saucepan, prepare the macaroni according to the package directions without salt. Drain in the colandar.
5. To make the cheese sauce, melt the margarine in the medium-sized saucepan. Using a wire whisk, mix the cornstarch well into the cold skim milk. Add the skim milk mixture and the evaporated skim milk to the margarine.
6. Heat the sauce over medium heat, stirring constantly.
7. When the sauce thickens, remove it from the heat and add the shredded cheese.
8. Mix the drained macaroni with the sauce. Put them in the casserole dish sprayed with nonstick spray.
9. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
