Instructions
Mix together vanilla wafer crumbs and melted butter and press into the bottom of a 9 inch springform pan, set aside. Beat cream cheese at low speed until light and fluffy, gradually adding 3/4 C sugar and 1/2 C sour cream, mixing well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and 6 oz chocolate chips. Spoon into prepared pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Cool at room temperature on wire rack for 20 minutes. Combine sugar, lemon juice, vanilla and sour cream. Gently spread over top of cheesecake. Carefully place each semisweet chocolate chip morsel onto cheesecake to make it look like a big chocolate chip cookie. Bake at 475 degrees for 5 minutes. Cool. Refrigerate for 8 hours. Remove sides from springform pan.
