Tour Bus Accident Sent Hospitals Into Emergency Disaster Mode

The Tour Bus Accident on U-S Highway 59 and 77 sent area hospitals into Emergency Disaster Mode. Detar Navarro and Citizens Medical Center said they haven't had to care for that many patients related to a single accident on very many occasions. But officials from both hospitals said they have plans in place when, and if, large scale emergencies occur.

New information on this morning's bus accident. Victoria Fire Chief Vance Riley says the accident in southwest Victoria county was "the largest multi-casualty incident" in the history of Victoria and Victoria County.

A burn ban is in effect for Victoria County until further notice. This means no outdoor burning of any kind.
Deadly Bus Accident Near Victoria

One person has been confirmed dead after a tour bus overturned on Highway 59 at Highway 77 near Victoria around 4:00 this morning, 47 others were injured.

An Increase in Grass Fires Since Last Year

On Tuesday, call after call, came into 9-1-1 dispatch reporting grass fires all over Victoria County. Statistics show that there's been an increase in the number of grass fires since last year.
