Grill Cleaning

Almost everybody has some form of a barbeque grill out in their backyard that they want to cook on during the summertime. Whether it's a gas unit like this - it may be charcoal - some of you may even have electric - but there's a couple of things you need to have if you own a grill to make sure that your food is going to taste the best. The first thing that anybody will tell you is that this grate needs to be clean before you start every meal. Almost all of you have a brush like this to brush the top of the grill. The problem is, it only does the top of the grill. A lot of times food will hang on the sides and cake on the bottom and it will make your food taste funny. They actually make a tool that's designed to clean the sides and the bottom of these ribs and get it perfectly clean so your food tastes good.
Another tool you have to have is something to flip the meat with. A perfect one would be something with a very sharp, small point like this. You put less holes in the meat, less juices run out, and it's a lot easier to flip the meat than a spatula.
No matter what kind of grill you have, you have to have something underneath it to protect whatever surface your sitting the grill on. Whether it's a patio like this or maybe a deck, you need something underneath the grill - like The Original Grill Pad. It's a cement-based pad. It will protect your deck from grease stains, ashes, sparks, and that occasional wild bratwurst that gets loose.
Don says unlike many deck protectors, the Original Grill Pad breathes to prevent water entrapment under it, preventing stains or mildew on the deck surface.
