IT'S NOT YOUR TYPICAL CLASSROOM..... AND LAURA  GOEDRICH IS NOT JUST AN  ORDINARY TEACHER.

SHE INSTRUCTS MUSIC AND THEATRE ARTS TO PRE-K THRU 5TH GRADE.

HER TEACHING METHODS ARE UNIQUE BUT ARE PROVEN SUCESSFUL.

SHE IS USING MUSIC, SINGING AND DANCING TO RE-INFORCE MATH SKILLS.

GOEDRICH SAYS THAT KIDS WHO DON'T EXCELL IN ACADEMICS, COME OUT OF THEIR SHELL WHEN THEY COME INTO HER CLASSROOM, WITH RISERS INSTEAD OF DESKS.

BUT SINGING AND DANCING IS ONLY A SMALL PART OF WHAT GOES ON IN THE CLASS.

THERE'S ROLE PLAYING.

THE ACTING IS STRICTLY IMPROV, BUT IS A GROWING TOOL IN SELF CONFIDENCE FOR THE YOUNGSTERS.

BUT AT THE SAME TIME EVERYONE HAS FUN
