CARING, PATIENT AND  LOVING.

     THESE ARE JUST A FEW OF THE MANY VIRTUES --- THAT DESCRIBE TEACHER LORI DEARMAN, OF CHANDLER ELEMENTARY.

  MS. DEARMAN INSTRUCTS CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES AGES 3-5 YEARS OLD. AND HER TEACHING METHODS AND GENTLNESS ARE ADMIRED BY PARENTS AND FELLOW TEACHERS.
IT'S THE FIRST FEW MINUTES OF CLASS TIME AND STUDENTS AND TEACHER LORI DEARMAN ARE NOT WAISTING ANY TIME IN GETTING TO WORK ON LEARNING THE SOUNDS OF THE ALPHABET AND LETTER RECOGNITION.

THESE YOUNGSTERS ARE IN A PROGRAM CALLED PPCD.......PRESCHOOL PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES..... THEY RANGE IN AGE FROM 3 TO 5 YEARS OLD......

AND ALTHOUGH MS DEARMAN MAY HAVE TO REPEAT HERSELF SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.....SHE NEVER GIVES UP OR LOOSES HER PATIENCE.  SHE SAYS THAT WHEN SOMEONE NEEDS SOME EXTRA HELP, SHE'LL BE THERE.

MS. DEARMAN'S FOCUS IS TO GIVE ALL HER STUDENTS EVERY OPPORTUNITY THAT OTHER KIDS WOULD HAVE TO SUCCEED.  SHE SAYS SHE LOOKS AT THEIR STRENGTHS, NOT THEIR WEEKNESSES.
