An 11-year-old boy has died after being bitten by his family's pit bull in Killeen, TX, Tuesday. 

Police say the dog jumped down from a couch and went for Seth Lovitt when the boy was chasing his little brother. The dog knocked Seth to the ground and bit him on the neck.

The victim's mother and grandmother restrained the dog and called for emergency help. The boy was pronounced dead nearly two hours later at a local military hospital. The dog has been quarantined.
