THE CALHOUN SANDCRABS HAVE WON FOOTBALL PLAYOFF GAMES IN BACK-TO-BACK YEARS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NEARLY A HALF CENTURY. NOW THE SANDCRABS, DESPITE NUMEROUS KEY INJURIES, HAVE MADE IT TO ROUND TWO, AND THEY FACE A TOUGH OBSTACLE. THE CRABS COME TO VICTORIA TO FACE UNBEATEN AND FOURTH RANKED CALALLEN. THEY TALKED ABOUT THAT WITH OUR CHASE GALLIMORE. "They're ranked number four right now in the State of Texas", said Richard Whitaker, Calhoun Football Head Coach. "They have a tremendous program and make a great run every year toward the semis and State Championship. Certainly I know they have their sights set on that this year, but it's a great opportunity for us and we're looking forward to it." "Everybody's got to step it up", said Jackson Gayle, Calhoun Free Safety/Wide Receiver. "Calallen's a good team. We'll be ready to play and everybody's got do their part." "They're a pretty good team" said Moises Simayoa, Calhoun Offensive Tackle. "I know if we do everything right we have a good chance. We have to come out and play hard." THE SANDCRABS GO FOR THEIR NEXT PLAYOFF WIN IN VICTORIA AT MEMORIAL STADIUM. THE CRABS FACE UNBEATEN CALALLEN FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT TWO IN THE 4A DIVISION TWO AREA PLAYOFFS.
