THIS IS JUST PART OF THE MORNING ROUTINE THAT TEACHER KAREN WAGNER HAS WITH HER 6 STUDENTS AGES 3 THRU 6 YEARS OLD. AND RECOGNIZING THEIR NAMES IS ALL PART OF BELONGING.
FOR MARIO, DANIEL, JB, RICKY, SIDNEY AND LACEY, MISS WAGNER IS HELPING TO DEVELOP THESE YOUNG MINDS, THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.

PRAISING HER STUDENTS FOR LITTLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS. SHE SAYS THAT IT'S THAT ENCOURAGEMENT, THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE.
WE WITNESSED MIRACLE WHILE OUR CAMERA WAS ROLLING.
RICKY WHO HAS BARELY SPOKEN, WAS ANSWERING QUESTIONS FOR MISS WAGNER. SHE SAYS THAT WAS A MAJOR BREAK THRU.
ANOTHER STUDENT WHO HAS PROGRESSED, IS A FORMER STUDENT NAMED JOSEPH. HIS MOTHER IS SO THANKFUL THAT SHE PUT THE EXTRA EFFORT INTO TEACHING HER SON.
<"She has helped him talk and walk and do letters.">Doris Mican\Parent]
<"We had a student that was sick and she went the extra mile, going to their house to take care of them. And do things and do things that the child needed. And she took her personal time to go out to their home.">Yolanda Lara\Assistant Teacher
BUT FOR KAREN WAGNER, TEACHING THESE SPECIAL STUDENTS IS TRULY A LABOR OF LOVE.
AND SHE SAY THAT SHE CAN'T IMAGINE DOING ANYTHING ELSE.
