"We're pretty excited", said Kaeron Johnson, Cuero Tight End. "It's been awhile since we've been there. We had a devastating loss to Hutto in '05 and in '04 at State to Wylie. I feel this is our year, our time to do it. Our O-line has just been executing great this year. You couldn't ask for a better one. We have a back like Quincey, Stefon, David, they're doing a helluva job. Tyler's getting the ball in the air and Robert's going to get it."
"Oh we love being here", said Patrick Nami, Cuero Offensive Guard. "Where else would you rather be than the playoffs at this time of the year? I love playing football, I know our whole team does."
"This is great, a great time of the year", said Rick Owens, Cuero Offensive Line Coach. "This is a fun time of year. Practice is lively. There's only four left and it's great, it's a lot of fun."
"It's great playing at this time of year", said Mark Reeve, Cuero Football Head Coach. "It's a lot of fun. Our old kids have played good all year and it's a great reward for our whole city."
