THE VIPER BOYS ARE GETTING READY FOR THEIR BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR SO FAR. THEY'VE STARTED OUT 3-0 IN 27-5A PLAY, UNLIKE LAST YEAR, WHEN THEY SEEMED TO LET DOWN A LITTLE GOING INTO DISTRICT PLAY. "One of the things is last year we started out 12-0 and we lost to Taft", said John Grammer, Viper Boys Basketball Head Coach. "That started our downward spiral. This year in our tournament we beat Taft. That started our upward spiral. Maybe both years Taft has been our turning point. What is this team doing right so far in District? Right now, we've become a pretty good defensive and rebounding team. You can win with those things. We're not shooting the ball very well right now. If we can start shooting the ball like we're capable of, then we can keep some of these close games from being so close." THE 3-0 VIPER BOYS HOST 3-0 EAST CENTRAL FOR THE DISTRICT LEAD SATURDAY NIGHT AT 6:30.
