Outdoor Lighting, An Attractive Feature to Light Up Your Home

For years, homeowners have lit up the outside of their homes - mainly for security reasons. Hey, we've got all got a light on the front porch and on the back porch. And, especially is someone knocks on the door we want to be able to turn the light on to see who's there. Or we may leave that light on all night because burglars don't like to mess with houses that are well lit.
You may be looking to add some outdoor lighting for a couple of other reasons. Maybe safety features. Maybe you want to light up a walkway to make it safer to walk at night. Or, you may want to accent a special feature of your home. A lot of these lights come with a photo sensor that will automatically turn these lights on at dusk and back off at dawn. But if you don't want the lights to run all night, you can bypass that sensor and just go ahead and put the unit on a timer. Hey, set it to come on at 6 and go off at midnight.
Solar outdoor lighting is easy! You don't need to wire it. When you get into low-voltage lighting, obviously they need to be wired. Take them out of the box. Lay them out where you need them. Go ahead and cut a slit in the ground with a shovel. Place them in the ground. Push the wire into the slit and you're finished. Simply plug the transformer into any receptacle - better yet - a timer that way you can tell them when to go on and off.
On our house, we used the pagoda lights to safely light up the sidewalk and the walkway. Then we used the spotlights to accentuate some really nice flowers in the front of the house. Pick one of these up, folks. It's going to make the outside of your house look great.
