It's a short list this week, that starts with the China Inn in Port Lavaca. This location was given 18 demerits. Employees drinks should have lids and straws, food was found uncovered in the walk-in cooler, a bowl was found in the food and there was a leaky sink.<br>The Mcdonald's in the 3100 block of North Navarro received 13 demerits. Employees were using hand sanitizer between handling different types of meat. Health officials say they must wash their hands or use tongs. Cookies in the freezer should be covered and sanitizer buckets were not labeled.<br>The Speedy Stop on Sam Houston also received 13 demerits. Proper documentation was not kept on when hot foods were put out, the hand washing facilities lacked soap and paper towels and paper goods should be stored off the floor.
