THEY ARE STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. THIS IS THE SKILLS FOR LIFE FOR 9TH AND 10 GRADE STUDENTS. IN CLASS THEY LEARN THE BASIC SKILLS OF MATH. COUNTING MONEY, COOKING SKILLS AND LEARNING ABOUT SOCIAL SKILLS.
"Oh I love these kids. Years and years ago, I always wanted to work with special kids. Now I love working with my special kids." says Lalla Schmidt, who instructs students on the skills for life classes at the Stroman Campus in Victoria

FIELD TRIPS ARE A BIG PART OF MS SCHMIDT'S CLASS. WHEN THEY GO OUT IN THE COMMUNITY, THEY ARE PRACTICING SOCIAL SKILLS MANERS AND PATIENCE AND BEING ACCEPTED.
HOWEVER THERE ARE TIMES THAT LALLA SCHMIDT WILL JOIN IN SOME FUN ACTIVITIES WHEN THEY VISIT A PLAYGROUND.
