IT'S BEEN A BUSY AND WINNING SUMMER FOR SOME VIPER GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYERS.
THE VICTORIA LADY VIPERS SUMMER TEAM JUST TOOK SECOND AT THE FIVE-STAR SHOOTOUT IN WACO IN FRONT OF NUMEROUS COLLEGE SCOUTS.
"We played as a team", said Guard Kaelynn Reyes. "There was no arguing, we moved the ball really well, got the open players their shots and they made them." "We were working as a team and most of our shots were going in", said Wing Krysta Martinez. "That helped a lot. From the start we were nervous about going to tournaments, but now that we're in the flow we're doing really good and working together as a team." "We've come together really strong", said Wing Erin Gomez. "We're like a family out there. We have each other's back at all times. Either if we yell at each other it means no harm. We all love each other the same way."
"It's not that I have to play really good just because they're watching", said Post Amber Flowers. "You should play your game every time whether they're watching or not. You don't know who the scouts are, you just know there are scouts there." THEY TALKED WITH OUR CHASE GALLIMORE. THE LADY VIPERS ARE STILL LOOKING AT GOING TO PLAY IN A HOUSTON TOURNAMENT SOON.
