When Hurricane Dolly slammed ashore yesterday near Brownsville, more than 8 thousand 211 calls were made from that storm struck region. Newscenter 25’s Steve Broussard says 211 was implemented a few years ago as a way people in Texas could call for information on any public assistance ranging from transportation away from disaster areas to information on food stamps. But when those calls went out yesterday, how were the calls handled, and how was Victoria involved? Steve’s report is coming up this evening on Newscenter 25 at 5pm and 6pm.
