NOW TO FOOTBALL, AND THE VIPERS GOT THEIR FIRST 27-5A WIN OF THE SEASON AT SOUTH SAN ON FRIDAY.
HEAD COACH MICKEY FINLEY MADE A MAJOR ADJUSTMENT ON OFFENSE AT THE HALF, GOING TO A POWER FORMATION.
"Yeah we can do a lot better running it", said Finley. "There's some personnel we need to look at as far as the way they do things. We were pleased with the adjustment we made. We were averaging about 12 yards a carry in the second half. That's pretty good. Would you go 50-50 on that in the next game or it's just depending on how the defense reacts? We have to see what they'll do. If they line up like we have planned then we have a plan, but we have to be ready to change your plan if their plans change. Going into a ballgame as you get into a season you work a lot of reps doing all different things and you're able to make adjustments a little bit better."
THE VIPERS HOST THE WAGNER THURDERBIRDS AT MEMORIAL STADIUM FRIDAY NIGHT AT 7:30.
