IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS, WE HAVE SEEN A NUMBER OF HOMETOWN BUSINESSES CLOSE FOR BUSINESS.
SOME ARE BEING LAID OFF AFTER A NUMBER OF YEARS ON THE JOB.
AND NOW IT IS THE DIFFICULT TASK OF LOOKING FOR WORK.
IT CAN BE A DIFFICULT TIME FOR THOSE IN SEARCH OF EMPLOYMENT,.
AND CIRCUMSTANCES ARE CHANGING FOR A NUMBER OF VICTORIA COUNTY RESIDENTS.
NATIONWIDE UNEMPLOYMENT FIGURES ARE 6.5%.
TEXAS IS LOWER, 5.2%, AND VICTORIA TYPICALLY HAS LOWER RATES.
HOWEVER WITH UNCERTAIN TIMES IN ECONOMIC SITUATIONS, SOME ARE FINDING THEMSELVES SUDDENLY OUT OF WORK.
