BLOOMINGTON RUNNER GOES TO STATE |

AND THIS IS A BIG WEEKEND FOR A BLOOMINGTON LONG DISTANCE RUNNER.
SOPHOMORE MIKEY BALADEZ TOOK THIRD AT THE REGIONAL MEET, AND THAT QUALIFIED HIM FOR THE STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET. HE WILL BE THE FIRST BOBCAT TO RUN AT STATE IN SIX YEARS.
"It's a good opportunity to see what I have next and the year after", said Baladez. "I want to do the best that I can and make it next year and my senior year, too."
"Bring a medal back, it'll take a real big effort, but Mikey right now is placing himself in the top ten in the State and that's what we're looking forward to", said head coach Edgar Vanderstucken. I didn't know if I would make it or not but I tried as hard as I could and pulled out a third place."
BALADEZ RUNS AT THE STATE 2A CROSS COUNTRY MEET SATURDAY MORNING AT 11:20 AT OLD SETTLERS PARK IN ROUND ROCK.
