THURSDAY, ST. JOE'S SARAH DAVIS WON THE LAMAR CONSOLIDATED GOLF TOURNAMENT IN RICHMOND. FRIDAY, THE TWO-TIME STATE CHAMP SIGNED TO PLAY GOLF AT TEXAS A&M, WHERE HER OLDER SISTERS, MEGGIE AND HARPER, ATTENDED. "A&M has a very outstanding golf program for both women and men and they have outstanding facilities", said Davis. "They just built a new course, The Traditions. Last year they placed sixth at Nationals. It's outstanding. Tell me how long A&M has been recruiting you. I first got a letter in seventh grade. It was the previous coach, she retired but she said that if I kept up the good work she'd have a scholarship set aside for me." DAVIS IS THE THIRD VICTORIAN TO PLAY FOR THE A&M WOMEN'S GOLF TEAM THIS DECADE, AFTER KATE MEYER AND MIRANDA ORR.
