IT'S THE NIGHT--VIPER FANS LOOK FORWARD TO ALL SEASON.
WITH THE DEFEAT OF EAST CENTRAL 38-28 LAST WEEKEND---THE VIPERS HAVE GIVEN ALL THEIR FANS WHAT THEY'VE BEEN HOPING FOR---AN AT HOME RUN AT THE PLAYOFFS.
THE CHEERLEADERS AND BLEACHERS FULL OF SCREAMING FANS AREN'T GOING TO BE THE ONLY ONES BACKING UP THE TEAM IN THIS RUN, BUT THE WHOLE COMMUNITY IS.
LOCAL BUSINESSES DONNED THEIR MARQUEES WITH MESSAGES OF SUPPORT.
"We thought it's be kind of a cool idea to put something on the sign. Obviously we have a lot of viper customers ta know the kids coming in for homecoming. So, we just thought it's be something to show off our being behind them," says Clay Atchinson, Owner of McAdams Floral.
MCADAMS FLORAL WAS ONE OF SEVERAL LOCAL BUSINESSES BACKING THE TEAM---VICTORIA MALL USED THEIR RESOURCES TO CHEER ON THE TEAM AS WELL AS THE TEXAS INN.
ACROSS TOWN MANNING GYMNASTICS PUT THEIR SIGN TO GOOD USE IN SUPPORT OF THE TEAM ---WHICH THEY SAY IS MADE UP OF SOME OF THEIR OWN
ATHLETES.
"We're excited that the vipers and the flyers are both going to the playoffs this year. We have a lot of athletes that attend memorial as well as St. Joe and so we're just excited to be able to support are youth this year in the playoffs," says Jaime Payne.
UNCLE MUTTS BBQ--ALSO SHOWED THEIR SUPPORT WITH WORDS. THE RESTAURANT WISHES THE TEAM ALL THE LUCK AND SAYS THEY'RE ALWAYS HAPPY TO GET AN OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT VICTORIA'S YOUTH.
"We're all about the youth of Victoria, anytime we can promote the positive that the youth are doing like being successful--football, basketball, volleyball--whatever--we like to show our support," says Manager, Debbie Nichols.
