We knew as early as yesterday that the National Weather Service was going to issue a Red Flag Warning for Victoria County, and just about every other county in the entire south Texas region. Newscenter 25 Forecaster Jennice Gayle says a strong cold front blew through the Victoria area during the pre-dawn hours this morning, and those strong winds whipped up and are here to stay for the rest of the day. The Red Flag Warning means that any outdoor burning could ignite an uncontrolable grass fire, so postpone any outdoor burning during this windy period. The warning is in effect until 3:00pm this Saturday afternoon.
But as the wind speeds go down, so will the temperatures. Tonight's predicted low temperature is expected to be in the mid 30 degree range. Jennifer's new updated and chilling forecast is coming up this evening on Newscenter 25 at 6pm.
