At 2:42 Tuesday morning, the exact moment and place the bonfire stack collapsed, Aggies gathered at what is now The Bonfire Memorial to remember the 12 who died and the 27 who were hurt in 1999.

The University has not sanctioned a bonfire burn since then, but recently authorized settlements with the remaining family members who had suits pending against A & M.

The unsanctioned student bonfire is set for Saturday in Robertson County. It will be the seventh time the group has held the pre-UT game tradition off-campus.
