Port Lavaca City Manager Finds New Job
Local
Written by Stephanie Kusy
The city of Port Lavaca said goodbye to a familiar face. The city's manager was full of emotion as he gets ready for new horizons.

Gary Broz will relinquish his title Friday as he moves on to become city manager of Liberty, a city east of Houston.

A resolution was given in his honor as well as a flag that was flown over Texas. The Rotary Club gave him a local banner as he moves on to a new city. The mayor offered kind words and said Broz worked well with the community. Broz said he will miss the support from residents the most.

Broz will start Nov. 2 in Liberty. Former Corpus Christi city manager Skip Noe will take over as Port Lavaca's interim city manager beginning Nov. 2.
