On Thursday, November 5, 2009, Port Lavaca Police found the body of Mr Carrol Fondran, 68, in his home on S. San Antonio.

Thursday, November 12, 2009, three detectives returned to the house to look for more evidence. Detective searched storm drains and dumpsters in the area. At the corner of Nueces and MLK, they removed the cover of a manhole and found bloody clothing and a knife covered in what they believe to be blood.
