Brandi Clemons.6th and 7th Grade Reading Teacher At Patti Welder Middle School

In a word she is described as being fun.

But when it comes down to the nitty gritty of school work, she's firm and demanding.

Brandi Clemons 6th and 7th grade class is accustomed to her style of teaching that challenges the students.

Helping them stay on their toes. But giving extra help to those who need it.

"She respects our answers. She doesn't say oh that's very wrong can you please try again?.">

"I used to be loud all the time, but now I'm in this class. But now that I'm in this class and my other classes, I started being quiet because she inspired me."> says Student Brenna Williams

"Miss Clemons helps us do our work, and how to do it.. How we're suppose to and help us figure out what we're suppose to do."> says Aubrey Flores

Teacher Brandi Clemons teaching career spans for 12 years.

First being a High School Teacher, then to Elementary, and now a Secondary Teacher at Patti Welder.

Dealing with 120 students a day in 6th and 7th grade reading, she deals with several personalities.

But she makes reading novels and short stories fun, but helping bring books to live, using dramatic voices to bring interest to the subject.

"When I don't really understand something, she breaks it down for me, in a lot of different ways." says student Jerry Villareal

I asked Miss Clemons how she would like to be remembered by her students.

"I want them to go away from here and say a couple of things. Miss Clemons was hard on me. She would not let me slack off. She stayed on me, but she was challenging. She really made me work. She made me put forth effort, but she cared about me." Says Teacher Brandi Clemons
