Nazareth Academy is giving their classrooms an update in technology, and they're only the second school in the state to do so.

Nazareth Academy is installing four newly delivered Dual-Touch SMART boards to utilize while teaching students.

SMART boards are interactive whiteboards with large computerized touch screens that provide internet access, and stream video and audio presentations. They also allow teachers and students to write and draw with digital ink, manipulate images, scroll, save, format and e-mail.

The local private school introduced students to the SMART board technology about a year ago, and when staff at the school realized how much more responsive students became in the classroom, they decided to go ahead with the upgrade.
